First of all, i apologise for my absence, I wasn’t really absent though, I get back from work all too tired to write and staring at my screen like a dummy. Mehn, one gotta strive or one will be done for.
So there was so much hullabaloo about the 2015 Nigerian elections, imagine, even CNN announced the results before us! Nigeria is hotcake ooh! Didn’t I see the picture of Obama and co staring at the screen in anticipation? And one yeye Nigeria at a visa interview says he is leaving because he does not trust Nigeria. Lame excuse, am sure the interviewer noticed!
Hope you voted! Say Aye!
Oh I love Nigerians and the attitude they pulled off towards this elections, whether its is GEJ or GMB
This is the first election have witnessed that Nigerians fully participated and more would have if not for card reader problems. Though many were scared of electoral violence and disturbance but this paid off somehow…
There were different conversations here and there, I listened to several both physically and on social medias,
One group admired Jega’s ( electoral chairman) calmness, others dismissed it and just wanted him to say the winner. Some believed he had been compromised, some simply felt he was doing fine. I was attentive to some GEJ supporters who though knew that Jonathan may not be the best of choices but would still vote him in. The reason, GMB seem to be from a party headed by a former governor of Lagos state whom they believed wants to take over and rule the entire Nigeria like some kind of god. They wouldn’t allow it, they would vote the opposition instead.
Others preferred Buhari, a former military president because they believed in his ability to bring change to Nigeria especially with how disappointed they were with Jonathan’s government. His 6years tenure didn’t pay off.
A friend sees the situation as this… Nigeria is still suffering from ethnicity problems, we voted according to that instead of voting for the right person as one. South south( this is their own person) and Igbos voted and supported Jonathan, the northern/eastern beef would forever live. Northerners love Buhari and voted him in, they cannot deny themselves. Yorubas voted the party APC( they closed their eyes whether Buhari or Jonathan) for the love of Lagos state governor, fashola under APC which they believe would bring change. Then the ones who do not believe in anyone of them because they think APC is an offshoot of PDP so they all the same. They just registered and never voted, watching the outcome. There is God ooh! And that’s it.
I do not want to write about the elections, that would be cliché kinda because it was all over the news and the whole world was following! What I do want to talk about is the comical episodes Nigerians developed in the process of conducting and counting for the elections! Ha! Nigerians! If you see different comics and graphics designed and displays, you have no choice but to laugh. Err… I know you may have seen some but you know… It’s good to see it again and for others who have not seen, have a good long laugh.
Tell me which interesting pictures I left out.
Yes ! Let’s have it for Buhari.
I hope he would do justice to a lot of things and set them right. For instance, how can white house( that food canteen in sabo everyone likes to talk about, I do not know the fuss because their food is just there… ) 50 naira Bottle water- 70 naira! Haba! That’s extortion! And ojukokoro! With all the money they making there… Buhari….FIX THIS!
And I laugh!
You witnessed the elections and have something Interesting to say? The comment box is for you.
Supposing Jonathan won? What would have happened? Oops….
Welcome me back people! Winks!
